Arlington, Washington Monument & Union Station

Today started with a brisk pace through Arlington National Cemetery. The group visited the site of the Kennedy graves and then Arlington House which we learned was the home of Robert E. Lee just prior to the Civil War.

During the 10:00 changing of the guard the students learned all about the specifications of the Army officers that serve in this elite guard which was followed by a wreath laying ceremony which featured four Serra students.

Following our visit to Arlington, the group visited the Washington Monument where the entire District of Columbia could be viewed and then on to lunch at Union Station. The students are walking a lot and the weather has been beautiful….in the 80s today!

Good news Jodi...Kyle's wheelchair has served a multitude of functions.
